WeightLossPills.com exists to give patients clear, accurate, physician-reviewed information about weight loss medications, without the influence of pharmaceutical companies, advertisers, or affiliate relationships.
Every piece of content on this site is held to the same standard: would a board-certified physician be comfortable recommending this to their own patient? If the answer is no, we don't publish it.

How We Verify Contributors
Every physician who writes or reviews content on this site goes through a four-step verification process before any content is published under their name.

License Verification
We confirm the contributor holds a current, active medical license in good standing with their state medical board. Licenses are checked at onboarding and reviewed annually.

Board Certification Check
We verify board certification through the relevant certifying body (ABOM, ABFM, ABS, or equivalent) and confirm the certification is current and in good standing.

Independent Verification
We independently cross-reference credentials against public databases including the NPI Registry and state licensing board records. Contributors must provide their license number as part of the application process.

Editorial Review
All content is reviewed for medical accuracy, clarity, and editorial standards before publication. We check that claims are supported by peer-reviewed sources, and that language is appropriate for a general patient audience.

We hold all content on this site to the following standards:
Content is written for patients, not clinicians. We avoid unnecessary jargon and explain medical terms when they appear.
We cover only FDA-approved medications or drugs in active clinical trials. We do not promote unproven or experimental treatments.

No pharma funding. We do not accept funding, grants, or compensation from pharmaceutical manufacturers. This will never change.
Conflict of interest disclosure. All contributors are required to disclose any financial relationships with pharmaceutical companies. Disclosed conflicts are reviewed and managed before publication.
Editorial decisions are made by physicians and editors, never by marketing, advertising, or business teams.
